“I believe the administration made a mistake to move the embassy to Jerusalem,” said the former two-term Pennsylvania congressman. “That will be a major impediment, if not a permanent impediment, to try to get a two-state solution” to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The East Jerusalem Youth Initiative Program, funded by the French Foreign Ministry, is to be run by Daoud Ghoul, a known PFLP activist with multiple convictions over his ties to the terrorist group.
“It would have been better done as part of a negotiation for a two-state solution,” said Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.). “I think it’s unfortunate it was done the way it was done, but I wouldn’t reverse it.”
