The Israel Defense Forces searched the area for terrorists following the attack in Judea.
The Israel Police deployed around 3,000 personnel, including Border Police officers, in Jerusalem for the first Friday of Ramadan.
Bidya Mayor Zahir Abdelhadi was arrested last month for “serious incitement against the State of Israel, IDF soldiers and security forces.”
The city borders the Samaria security barrier and abuts the Jewish state’s densely populated coastal plain.
The scene in “No Other Land,” described in the film as “settler violence and IDF cruelty,” was a staged provocation, according to the local council.
The faith leaders came for the Israel launch of the Conference of Christian Presidents, a new umbrella group representing tens of millions of pro-Israel Americans.
No Israeli troops were hurt in the attempted attack.
The Israeli finance minister will discuss economic and political cooperation with his U.S. counterpart.
“May redemption come soon and with mercy,” said Berger’s mother, Merav.
“Israel must act according to its interests, without fear,” says the legislation’s sponsor, MK Dan Illouz.
“This region is the heart of our shared Judeo-Christian heritage,” the members of Congress wrote to the U.S. president.
“The communities in Judea and Samaria are the protective wall of most of the State of Israel,” said Defense Minister Israel Katz.
