Muhammad Ali Yassin worked to rehabilitate the Iranian-backed terror group’s capabilities in violation of the ceasefire, according to the IDF.
The target was a production and storage site in the Beqaa Valley for “strategic weapons” according to the IDF.
The army will have all weapons near the Israeli border in state control within three months, according to Youssef Raggi.
The facilities were used to train operatives and prepare attacks against IDF troops and Israel, including gunfire drills and other weapons exercises.
The Israeli military said it had “identified a suspicious presence in the area,” prompting its soldiers to fire stun grenades to remove the threat.
As some 76% of northerners return home, a new security reality is taking shape, defined by the IDF’s proactive “forward defense” doctrine.
One of the terrorists was identified as Abd al-Manaam Musa Suwaydan, a Hezbollah operative in Southern Lebanon’s Yatar Municipality.
“Northern Command continues to strike and dismantle emerging threats. This is the approach, we do not wait,” said IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir.
The strike came two days after the IDF killed a terrorist who was involved in planning and carrying out attacks against Israel during the war.
“For a change, we have some good news coming from the United Nations,” said Danny Danon, the Israeli ambassador to the global body.
“A secure, stable Lebanon is in the interest not just of the U.S. and the Lebanese people, but of the entire region,” Sen. Jeanne Shaheen stated.
The targets included a rocket launcher.
