Masoud Pezeshkian

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian previously accused Jerusalem of trying to kill him during the 12-day war.
The former longtime diplomat suggested that his departure came at the order of a high-ranking official.
Iran’s president defended Economy Minister Abdolnaser Hemmati, stating that Iran was in a “full-scale economic war with the enemy.”
It marks the first face-to-face meeting between Erdoğan and Pezeshkian since the collapse of Syria’s Assad regime.
“We want to live in peace, we don’t want war. It is Israel that seeks to create this all-out conflict,” said Masoud Pezeshkian.
The policy of President Masoud Pezeshkian’s government is to “provide unlimited support to the resistance,” said Abbas Araghchi.
A powerful entrenched elite fearful of losing its prerogatives and a hostile Majlis dominated by conservatives place limits on how far Pezeshkian can go in his desire for economic reform and outreach to the West.
