Bolton, Rivlin Discuss ‘very challenging time for both Israel and the United States’
A day after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton was greeted by President Reuven Rivlin, discussing issues related to Gaza, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and other Mideast issues.

Rivlin to Prince William: Bring a ‘message of peace’ to Abbas, to ‘end the tragedy’
“I know that you’re going to meet President Abbas. I would like you to send him a message of peace,” Rivlin told the Duke of Cambridge.
“This year Israel celebrates its 70th anniversary. That’s 70 years of freedom, 70 years of democracy, 70 years of bettering the world,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Memorial sirens sounded at 11 a.m. in Israel to honor the memories of 23,646 Israeli soldiers, police and security officers, and 3,134 terror victims who have fallen since the beginning of Israel’s history.

Rivlin, JDC leaders gather to mark Israel’s 70th anniversary
More than 100 Jewish community leaders with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, a humanitarian group working in more than 70 countries, met with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin at his residence in Jerusalem to mark the 70th anniversary of the state of Israel and to recognize the organization’s contribution to the Jewish state.
Israeli President Reuven Rivlin on Wednesday called for a new partnership to be forged between Israel and the Jewish Diaspora to deal with global development issues.
