Calling the upcoming peace plan the “deal of disgrace,” P.A. leader Mahmoud Abbas says America is trying to “sell illusions.”
“This is an official announcement that Palestine will not attend the Manama meeting,” said Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat. “This is a collective Palestinian position.”
Palestinian Minister Ahmed Majdalani stated that “any Palestinian who would take part would be nothing but a collaborator for the Americans and Israel.”
U.S. special envoy criticizes P.A. over its boycott of peace efforts: “Our vision can fundamentally change their lives.” Senior Palestinian official Nabil Shaath: “We have nothing to discuss.”
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii), who is running for president in 2020, told Fox News that the American people should know “a war with Iran would make the war in Iraq look like a cakewalk.”
The Palestinian Authority appears ready to reject the proposal even before its reveal.
Iran, it appears, is trying to create a crisis in reaction to its worsening economy and unsuccessful efforts to overcome U.S. sanctions.
Additionally, the State Department issued a warning for U.S. citizens not to travel to Iraq “due to terrorism, kidnapping and armed conflict.”
The plan does not call for a land invasion of troops, which would require more than 120,000 soldiers, said administration officials.
The Trump administration’s “deal of the century” will support permanent Israeli control over all towns currently in Israeli hands, and will not oppose application of Israeli law throughout the West Bank.
The Trump administration said sanctions will target Iran’s aluminum, iron, copper and steel sectors.
Forty-two percent of American Jews say the president is favoring Israelis more than the Palestinians, with 26 percent of American Christians believing the same.
