“The process is actually moving forward in the way we’d outlined earlier,” White House national security communications advisor told reporters.
“That sends a very powerful message of deterrence, and it also sends a message that we will stand with Israel should we need to come to their defense,” a U.S. Defense Department spokeswoman said.
