Amnesty’s new report says Israel’s facial recognition technology advances ‘apartheid’
Facial recognition software is used by many countries to identify any potential threat including airports in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Spain.
The 19-minute video poses the question why Amnesty International felt the need to lie about and to demonize the Jewish state.
An event in early September billed as a meeting/debate on Facebook is being accused of having “more dubious ideological undertakings.”
“It is Amnesty whose behavior borders on the criminal by willfully playing a role in the international campaign to cast the Jewish state as illegitimate,” says Rabbi Abraham Cooper of the Simon Wiesenthal Center.
“The Netherlands is making it very clear that the so-called conclusions of Amnesty International are incorrect, the term apartheid is a very serious allegation and in some cases, a malicious term, and clearly doesn’t apply to Israel,” said Shaun Sacks, a senior researcher at NGO Monitor.
Amnesty’s apartheid report is rife with systematic lies, errors, omissions and double standards.
Sen. Rick Scott said the bill is intended to send a message that America will not support the “radical left’s dangerous anti-Israel agenda.”
“Our report is for legal professionals, academics, practitioners and government officials, but it is also for those who are looking for answers to the false and often malicious charges by NGO and U.N. Rapporteurs who grossly misrepresent the Arab-Israeli conflict, the legal basis for Israel as a Jewish state, and the nature of [its] democracy and legal system,” said Anne Herzberg of NGO Monitor.
“[Paul] O’Brien’s patronizing attempt to speak on behalf of the American Jewish community is deeply alarming and offensive,” they wrote in a statement.
They also asked U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres and High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet to terminate the U.N. Human Rights Council’s Commission of Inquiry.
