The e-commerce site made the move six hours after being called on by the Auschwitz‑Birkenau Memorial and State Museum to do so.
The item description read, “Is your child studying World War II or the Holocaust? Now you can help her transport back in time to the 1940s.”
“These policies are all great on paper, but we need to see the tech companies proactively enforcing [them] to protect their users. Social-media companies have to do more than just pay lip service to fighting extremism on their platforms,” said Josh Lipowsky of the Counter Extremism Project.
“Educators should work with young people to present the facts and stories,” it said, “but also teach and discuss how to commemorate in a meaningful and respectful way.”

The governor tweeted that “there were quite a number of people protesting by carrying signs filled with hate. I’ll defend to the death their right to be wrong and to say it out loud. But if you look at the facts, the experts are trying to protect them.”
Nicollet Public School Superintendent Dennis Morrow assigned each of the students a 10-page research paper on “Hitler’s final solution at Auschwitz” and “medical experiments at Auschwitz.”
The “NeverMeansNever” project continues the tradition of paying tribute to the victims, honoring the survivors and committing to the global fight against anti-Semitism, hatred and intolerance.
“The project reflects the determination to promote the importance of memory by utilizing innovative technology to teach the timeless lessons of the Holocaust,” said the organization, which normally sends throngs Jewish youth to the site to mark the date.
The decision follows Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki’s announcement to shutter all schools, universities, museums and cinemas until March 25.
Plans for rescheduling later this year are underway with informed consideration for global-health conditions and community needs.
