The Deputy Consul General of Israel in New York, Israel Nitzan, and four Israeli health experts will share the latest on Israel’s response to the coronavirus pandemic next week.
Participating a the Zoom video conference, which takes place on Monday at noon East Standard Time and 7 p.m. Israeli time, will be Nitzan; Yonatan Yagodovsky, director of Magen David Adom’s international-relations department; Nadav Davidovitch, director of public health at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev; Ran Nir-Paz, an infectious-disease physician at Hadassah Medical Organization; and Rafi Beyar, director emeritus of Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa.
The American Friends of Kaplan Medical Center will host the event.
Presenters will give an overview of the Israeli response to COVID-19, followed by a discussion on the failures and successes the Jewish state has experienced to date.
Viewers will learn from the different perspectives of the authorities in the delivery of health services, and from the different challenges from Israel’s south to its north on how the Israeli infrastructure has responded to the coronavirus outbreak.
Finally, there will be two short presentations.
One will be from “Officer Netta” from the Israel Defense Forces’ Elite 669 Unit; the other will be provided by Israeli heroes Niv and Sigal Nehemiah, sharing brief personal stories of the life-saving role of Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot, in addition to the three strategic services that Kaplan provides to Israel.
