It was the first in-person meeting of the U.S.-Israeli Strategic Consultative Group, a forum for interagency delegations representing defense, military, intelligence and diplomatic officials from both countries.
“I am bringing with me from Jerusalem a new spirit of cooperation, which rests on the special and long-standing connection between the two countries,” said Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.
Among topics of regional concern was the recent attack on the “Mercer Street” oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman.
