“They said please don’t bomb us anymore, and we’re not going to attack your ships,” the U.S. president said. “I will accept their word.”
The attack came over an hour after the IDF issued evacuation orders for the airport, which has been under control of the Houthis since 2014.
Dozens of targets were destroyed, according to the IDF, as the Iranian-backed terror group threatens further attacks on Israeli airports.
The Houthis urged international airlines to cancel all flights to the Jewish state.
“Israel will respond to the attack on Ben-Gurion Airport—and, at a time and place of our choosing, to their Iranian terror masters as well,” said the Israeli premier.
The IDF has intercepted dozens of missiles launched from Yemen, achieving a success rate of over 95%.
“I want to congratulate you for being the first world leader to set foot in Israel, in Ben-Gurion Airport, following the missile attack,” said Herzog.
The attack triggered air-raid sirens across central Israel.
“Whoever harms us, we’ll harm them sevenfold,” vows Defense Minister Israel Katz • “It is Iran that is firing ballistic missiles at the State of Israel, and it must bear responsibility,” says National Unity chief Benny Gantz.
The attack triggered sirens in Jerusalem and across southern Israel.
Both attacks triggered air-raid sirens across northern Israel.
