The attack triggered air-raid sirens across central Israel, including in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and parts of Judea and Samaria.
The projectile was on a trajectory to the Negev and Dead Sea area, the Homefront Command said.
“Limiting the free flow of Iranian support to the Houthis is critical to regional security,” said U.S. Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, commander of CENTCOM.
“No alerts were activated in accordance with policy,” the military announced.
