The Israel Defense Forces destroyed an explosives lab in the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm, and arrested 33 wanted terror suspects in overnight operations throughout Judea and Samaria, the military said on Tuesday.

Soldiers also confiscated over 30 weapons, improvised rockets and other armaments in the building where the explosives lab was located.

During the Nur Shams operation, engineering forces uncovered and destroyed explosive devices planted under, and on the side of roads, intended to harm Israeli forces.

An IDF soldier was lightly wounded by shrapnel when terrorists shot and threw explosives at the forces, who responded with live fire. The soldier was evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment.

During the overnight operations, security forces arrested Khaleda Jarrar in the Al-Bireh/Ramallah district. He is a wanted terrorist who serves as the head of the PFLP in Judea and Samaria.

Other senior PFLP activists were arrested in the Ramallah area, including Rami Fadayil, Hasan Shatia and Rashad Karaga.

Since the start of the Gaza war on Oct. 7, 2,550 wanted persons have been arrested throughout Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley, including 1,300 Hamas members.
