Iranians with fake Israeli passports caught in Bulgaria

They are not the first Iranian nationals to attempt this scam, which is evidently used to gain easy entry to Europe.

Three Iranians with fake Israeli passports were caught in Bulgaria on Oct. 31 and are undergoing deportation proceedings.

According to a report in The Sofia Globe, the men—aged 21, 28 and 32—were found with falsified Israeli passports.

They are not the first Iranian nationals to attempt this scam, which is evidently used to gain easy entry to Europe.

In July, another Iranian man was arrested in Dehli’s Indira Gandhi International Airport and subsequently deported. In early 2016, an Iranian couple was caught in India with fake Israeli passports and arrested before they could board a plane to Europe.

The report noted that an increase in the number of Iranians attempting to use fake passports to relocate to more Western countries.

The cause of the blaze near the grave of Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi was not immediately clear.
