Some of the money men who helped fuel the Oct. 7 murderous assault across Israel’s border with the Gaza Strip have been sanctioned by the U.S. federal government.

On Wednesday, the Treasury Department announced sanctions against “10 key Hamas terrorist group members, operatives and financial facilitators in Gaza and elsewhere, including Sudan, Turkey, Algeria and Qatar.”

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that “today’s actions are directed at Hamas terrorists and their support network, not Palestinians. Hamas alone is responsible for the carnage its militants have inflicted on the people of Israel, and it should immediately release all hostages in its custody.”

Sanctions have been put in place against Musa Muhammad Salim Dudin, a Hamas spokesman and negotiator; and Abdelbasit Hamza Elhassan Mohamed Khair, a financier in Sudan who has managed businesses in Hamas’s investment network.

The Treasury Department also named a group of four men networked across Turkey and Algeria who managed investment portfolios for Hamas: Amer Kamal Sharif Alshawa, Ahmed Sadu Jahleb, Aiman Ahmad Al-Duwaik and Walid Mohammed Mustafa Jadallah.

It also named the Hamas operatives Muhammad Ahmad ‘Abd Al-Dayim Nasrallah and Ayman Nofal.

The West Bank-based cryptocurrency business Buy Cash Money and Money Transfer Company received sanctions, as did its operator Ahmed M. M. Alaqad.

“The United States is taking swift and decisive action to target Hamas’s financiers and facilitators following its brutal and unconscionable massacre of Israeli civilians, including children,” said Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.

Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu said: “After years in which sites were neglected or looted, Israel is making historical corrections.”
Using this phrase against Israel is no less absurd than labeling sport-hooliganism and violence at mass demonstrations in the West as officially sponsored, government-sanctioned violence.
“Nearly eight years after the shooting, our gratitude and admiration for the heroic bravery and selfless dedication of the first responders that day endures,” said U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti.
Yitzhak Ben-Hebron escaped Arab riots as a child and later returned to rebuild the Jewish community in the city.
Army Maj. Gen. Jasper Jeffers III said that future conflicts will require allied special operations forces to integrate quickly and operate with compatible systems.
“The strength and resilience you and your families demonstrate throughout the recovery and rehabilitation process inspire the entire nation of Israel,” the IDF chief said.
