P.A. prime minister orders Palestinian local authorities to prepare long-term development plans without regard for the Oslo-mandated division of Judea and Samaria into Areas A, B and C.
Speaking to schoolchildren in Elkana, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promises to “extend Jewish sovereignty to all the settlements, as part of the Land of Israel and as part of the State of Israel.”
Unable to attend his daughter’s funeral, Rabbi Eitan Shnerb addressed the ceremony by phone, saying, “We are trying to be strong here in the Land of Israel, the people of Israel; Rina believed in that.”

The IDF called the attack “very serious,” and said that an improvised explosive device was used. The police determined that the bomb had been planted there earlier and was triggered remotely when the family approached it.
