Grandson of 1972 Munich Olympics’ terrorist poised to win congressional seat
Ammar Campa-Najjar, 28, has distanced himself from his grandfather, Muhammad Yousef al-Najjar, who was involved in the planning of the massacre at the 1972 Munich Olympics and assassinated by Israeli commandos in Beirut in 1973.
“I was present when it was laid, I don’t think I was actually involved in it. I was there because I wanted to see a fitting memorial to everyone who has died in every terrorist incident everywhere,” Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn said in an interview with Sky News.
