The protest was “a powerful show of solidarity,” Jayne Zirkle of the Lawfare Project told JNS. “To condemn people for attending such an event is to condemn the very principles of freedom our nation was founded on.”
“Our police officers were placed at significant risk being in a gunfight armed with 9 mm Glocks against long arms,” the New South Wales Police deputy commissioner told an antisemitism inquiry.

The detainee is the eighth held in connection with the death of two Jews in a jihadist attack in October.
Authorities said a Syrian man was arrested for aiding the 2025 attack that wounded a Spanish tourist.
The victims were “targeted solely because of their visibly Jewish appearance,” according to Israel’s ambassador.

Israeli and Canadian officials condemned the hanging in effigy of Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli National Security Minister Ben-Gvir at a protest.
“Attacking someone because of their faith is not just a crime against one person, it’s an assault on our community,” the Los Angeles County district attorney said.
“This shows the depravity of the war being waged on Jews,” Deborah Lipstadt, the former U.S. special envoy to monitor and combat antisemitism, stated.
Jewish groups and local leaders are expected to gather in support of the Israeli-owned business as police continue searching for the suspect.
Antisemitism commission said Jewish witnesses faced increased online harassment after testifying, and at least one case was referred to police.
