“Based on what we know now, the attack appears to have been defeated and ineffective,” the U.S. president said. “This is a testament to Israeli military capability and the U.S. military.”
“That is absolutely false,” the State Department spokesman said. “We had no kind of warning from the government of Iran that they were going to launch such an attack.”
“Our communities are in complete solidarity with the people of Israel and the IDF, as they work to defend themselves from these attacks, and we pray for their safety,” stated the Jewish Federations of North America.
“Most people who are engaged in underground organizations try not to have their involvement known publicly,” a U.N. spokesman told JNS.
