Rep. Betty McCollum called the Israeli prime minister “a destabilizing force in the Middle East.”
“We are hoping for something meaningful that deters Israel from continuing this bullying,” the Gulf state’s prime minister said.
The country, which represents the Arab states, called an urgent session of the Security Council after Israel’s strike in Doha.
The “long arm” of the Israel Defense Forces will continue to target its enemies, said the Israeli defense minister.
The South Carolina Republican said he had a “very productive, candid meeting” with Ron Dermer, the Israeli strategic affairs minister, in Washington.
