After what is considered the longest political stalemate in Israel’s history, a broad coalition government was formed under the leadership of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and alternate Prime Minister Yair Lapid.

This new coalition represents the full spectrum of Israeli politics and includes members from the right, left, and center as well as an Arab party. Such a diverse representation raises many questions including how will this government be able to function considering the amount of compromise that will be required from its members.

The panel of veteran journalists will discuss the feasibility of its cohesion, its different relationship with global Jewry and the Biden administration, and the challenges this coalition will face from inside its ranks, as well as from the large and vocal opposition.

The panel will be moderated by the Secretary-General of the Confederation of United Zionists, Leor Sinai.

Speaking to local authority leaders, the Israeli premier said bold military decisions changed the regional balance of power and averted existential threats.
“Here is one more institution of government in Canada, one of our six national museums, again failing the Jewish community, leading to a rupture in the Jewish community,” Mark Berlin told JNS.

“I will be one of the Jewish members of Congress most willing to stand up for Palestinian human rights,” he told the crowd at his victory party in Brooklyn.
