At least six mainstream U.S. Jewish organizations dropped out of a meeting with the U.S. education secretary over participation of left-wing Israel critics.
The 31-year-old mailed a postcard to the rabbi referencing the Holocaust and stating “gas the Jews.”
“President Petro’s vitriolic rants comparing Israel to the Nazis, embrace of Hamas’s terrorist ideology and justification of violence targeting Israeli civilians create tangible risks for Colombia’s Jewish community,” the members of Congress stated.

The council’s decision “threw fuel on the fire and offered no solace to Palestinians or Israelis,” stated Rob Leikind, director of AJC New England.

“Hezbollah continues to rely on seemingly legitimate business investments and key facilitators to generate revenue for the group’s operations,” stated Brian Nelson, a U.S. Treasury under secretary.
The country’s top law-enforcement agency explained its efforts to combat antisemitism and listened to concerns from communal leaders.
Gilad Erdan told the U.N. General Assembly that body’s anti-Israel animus is the reason U.S. “universities are permitting this Nazi-like behavior.”
The representative from Nebraska wrote on X that “calling these students ‘pro-genocide’ is despicable.”
“We celebrate the immeasurable impact of Jewish values, contributions and culture on our nation’s character,” the president said.
The bill, which codifies the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of Jew-hatred for Title VI purposes, passed 320-91 and is now Senate-bound.
