“We’re losing a worldwide propaganda war to baby killers,” said Rep. Brad Sherman of California. “That means things are not going well at all.”
“The arrogance is breathtaking,” said Kenneth L. Marcus, of the Brandeis Center. “They know there’s a problem. They’ve been told to deal with it. And yet they refuse again and again.”
“We’re providing everything we possibly can to Israel to help them,” said the U.S. secretary of state during congressional testimony.
“Contrary to allegations against Israel made by the International Court of Justice, what’s happening is not genocide,” the president said at the White House celebration of Jewish American Heritage Month.
“Calling something a genocide, again and again, does not make it genocide,” said Gilad Noam, an attorney for the Jewish state. “Repeating a lie does not make it true.”
“This terrible loss is heart-breaking,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “We will return all of our hostages, the living and the deceased.”
“The president’s threat to veto this legislation and Schumer’s refusal to bring it to a vote in the Senate are acts of betrayal to our closest ally in the region,” said Speaker of the House Mike Johnson.
