“When you make these issues partisan, you hurt the cause of Israel,” Sen. Chuck Schumer said of Netanyahu’s address to Senate Republicans. “I gave this speech out of a real love for Israel.”
The White House national security advisor said that Israel agreed on Monday to send a “senior interagency team” to Washington to review a potential operation in Rafah.
Schumer drew sharp criticism from Republicans and from Jewish organizations for saying that Netanyahu should be voted out of office.
Democrats and Republicans filed competing discharge petitions to force a vote on foreign aid, as the Senate minority leader repeated his call for a regular floor vote.
Washington denied that any U.S. aircraft dropped supplies that killed civilians.
“I was not very happy with the speech before he got to Israel,” Sid Rosenberg told JNS. “And then he hits you with how he really feels.”
“Social media is a major driver of the rise in antisemitism, and that TikTok is the worst offender by far,” Jewish Federations of North America wrote.
