Biden to Israelis: ‘You are not alone’

The following are U.S. President Joe Biden’s remarks ahead of joining a meeting with Israel’s war Cabinet in Tel Aviv:

In the wake of Hamas’s appalling terrorist assault, it was brutal, inhumane, almost beyond belief what they did, this cabinet came together standing strong, standing united.

And I want you to know you are not alone. As I emphasized earlier, we will continue to have Israel’s back as you work to defend your people. We will continue to work with you and partners across the region to prevent more tragedy to innocent civilians.

Seventy-five years ago, your founders declared that this nation would be one based on freedom, justice and peace. Based on freedom, justice and peace. The United States stands with you in defense of that freedom, in pursuit of that justice and in support of that peace. Today, tomorrow and always. We promise you.

“Their air and missile defense systems have largely been destroyed,” Adm. Brad Cooper stated.
The Gulf state accompanied its X post with an image of a Seder plate and matza.
The Iranian-backed group attacked Israelis as they marked the Exodus, just as the Amalekites attacked the Israelites when they left Egypt, the defense minister said.
The film documents the circumstances of the small rural town of Gniewoszów, focusing on one of its last living survivors, along with a resident who says he saw Jews murdered there six months after the Nazis’ reign of terror ended.
The episodes will “reveal fascinating stories,” IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin said.
“This week we are reminded that with true faith, eternal hope and the power of prayer, nothing can stop the people of God.”
