“We are still fighting to defend the very right of our people to live in safety and security,” said Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations.
Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations is “very skeptical” regarding ongoing talks between the United States and Iran, calling the latter “masters of deception.”
“The presence of ambassadors from around the world today is a powerful reminder that the victims’ memories live on,” stated Danny Danon, Israeli ambassador to the United Nations.
“We met Trump’s people. We have conversations,” the Israeli envoy said in an interview in Washington. “But I think we were not aware about how much the United States will be involved about it.”
The decision was driven by the agency’s “constant refusal to address the widespread infiltration of its ranks by Hamas and other terrorist organizations.”
Outlawing the U.N. agency is “a direct response to the widespread infiltration of UNRWA’s ranks by Hamas,” Ambassador Danny Danon said.
Danny Danon told reporters in New York that the ceasefire and hostage release deal comes at a “very heavy price.”
Danny Danon also said that the Jewish state hopes Elise Stefanik will be confirmed and “will come to the U.N. as soon as possible.”
“These violations continue to be excluded from the secretariat’s reports,” Danny Danon wrote in a 44-page letter.
The Israeli envoy to the United Nations said that “we do not shy away from threats and will not remain silent in the face of Iranian attempts at incitement and lies.”
A United Nations spokeswoman told JNS that “we’re very concerned that the Houthis continue to launch attacks targeting Israel.”
“We will defend our citizens, no matter how far the threat,” said Danny Danon at a press conference in New York.
