Palestinian cleric Abu Taqi Al-Din Al-Dari in address at Al-Aqsa: “France will become an Islamic country through jihad; the entire world will be subject to Islamic rule.”
Some 89 percent of 405 French Jewish students surveyed said that they had experienced some form of anti-Semitism on campus, which included tropes, jokes about the Holocaust and Jewish stereotypes.
“When it comes to the most aggressive anti-Semitism and hatred of the Jews, it’s coming from the Muslims. Not from the extreme right. It’s difficult for some people to admit,” said Arié Bensemhoun, executive director of the European Leadership Network.
“Despite the hostile atmosphere, they continue to be proudly Jewish, wearing yarmulkes, praying in synagogues, and running kosher shops and restaurants,” said Culture and Sports Minister Miri Regev. “I am a traditional woman, and so this really touched me.”
It happened in the Jewish cemetery near the old synagogue burned down by the Nazis in September 1940.
Alarming figures released this month by the French government report that anti-Semitism rose by 74 percent in 2018.
