“We launched more than 20 drones at many Israeli positions in the Galilee and more than 200 rockets of various types,” a Hezbollah source said.
For nine months, Kiryat Shmona has stood as a ghost town, its residents among those displaced by relentless attacks from Hezbollah.
“This is a very exciting day for all of us,” said Shimon Guetta, head of the Ma’ale Yosef Regional Council.
At least one drone was shot down, while several more struck open areas, sparking fires.
The Hezbollah leader also warned of an invasion of Israel’s Galilee if a wider war breaks out.
