Hezbollah on Saturday condemned Israel’s strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen, which came in retaliation for a deadly drone attack by the Iran-backed group in Tel Aviv the previous day.
“We think that this stupid step by the Zionist enemy is a sign of a new, dangerous phase in the confrontation at the level of the entire region,” said the Iranian terror proxy.
On Sunday morning, the radical Shi’ite militia launched rockets across the border, triggering sirens in the Upper Galilee communities of Baram, Dovev, Avivim and Yeraon.
Later on Sunday, several Hezbollah suicide drones scored direct hits in the area of Kibbutz Hanita in the Western Galilee, the IDF confirmed. The Iran-backed terror group took credit for launching the “swarm of drones,” which also hit inside the empty yard of a kindergarten.
The Israeli military confirmed on Sunday morning that Israeli Air Force fighter jets had attacked two Hezbollah weapons depots in Southern Lebanon overnight Saturday.
On Saturday evening, a Hezbollah drone wounded two IDF soldiers in the area of Zeura in northern Israel, one moderately and the other lightly. The terrorist group launched over 40 rockets from Lebanon at Israeli territory on Saturday, according to the IDF—over 30 into the northern Golan Heights and 10 into the Galilee region.
As a result of shrapnel from an Israeli interceptor, a fire broke out near Kibbutz Snir near the Banias river. Two fire brigades headed to the scene to work on controlling the blaze. A factory in Kibbutz Amir was damaged by a rocket, according to the Upper Galilee Regional Council.
The IAF struck the launcher used to fire at the Golan Heights, which was located in the area of Deir Seryan in Southern Lebanon. Furthermore, an additional Hezbollah launcher was struck in the area of Aitaroun.
Last week, Hezbollah terror chief Hassan Nasrallah threatened to target Israeli communities that have not come under fire yet if the IDF continues to, in his words, “attack civilians” in Southern Lebanon.
The Iran-backed terrorist army “will continue to launch missiles at settlements that were not attacked before,” Nasrallah said in a speech marking the Muslim holiday of Ashura that was broadcast on Lebanese television.
He reiterated that Hezbollah would not stop firing at northern Israel until there is a ceasefire with Hamas in Gaza and boasted that the port of Eilat was bankrupt due to Houthi attacks stifling maritime traffic on the Red Sea.
“No vessels are arriving and Israel’s economy is failing, thanks to our pressure,” Nasrallah claimed.
