Troops of the 11th “Yiftach” Reserve Infantry Brigade of the Israel Defense Forces in Lebanon, under the command of the 146th Reserve Armored Division, has cleared terrorist infrastructure in the western sector of Southern Lebanon.

As part of the mission to eliminate threats, the troops conducted targeted raids and reconnaissance operations against terrorist infrastructure in urban areas and thicketed terrain used by Hezbollah, the IDF said on Thursday.

The forces acted in accordance with the ceasefire understanding between Israel and Lebanon.

During the operational activities, the brigade dismantled terrorist infrastructure above and below ground, and located numerous weapons depots in structures near a central United Nations post in the area. All of these assets were dismantled without damage to the U.N. post.

Additionally, the troops located and dismantled a loaded launcher aimed at Israeli territory, and neutralized other threats in the area.

The brigade’s troops continue operational activity in areas near the border fence and in other areas.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Air Force conducted several strikes on Hezbollah-related sites in Lebanon overnight Monday.

These attacks aimed to address threats to Israel’s home front and military and to disrupt Hezbollah’s weapons smuggling routes, the IDF said.

Targets included a rocket launcher site, a military facility and border routes between Syria and Lebanon.

On Jan. 11, the Air Force struck three Hezbollah operatives on the Lebanese side of the border, near Israeli territory in the Har Dov area.

The IAF also targeted terrorists exiting a building in Southern Lebanon that belonged to Hezbollah, according to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit.

On Jan. 10, The IDF’s 769th “Hiram” Brigade discovered and confiscated a significant cache of Hezbollah weapons during operations in Southern Lebanon, the army said.

Rocket launchers, mortar shells, rocket-propelled grenades, shoulder-launched missiles and explosive devices were located, along with anti-tank firing positions and hidden weapons.

Troops also found a weapons storage facility containing dozens of shoulder-launched missiles, explosive charges and extensive military equipment.

“The IDF continues to expand its achievements, operating in accordance with the understandings between Israel and Lebanon while maintaining the terms of the ceasefire,” the army said. “IDF troops are deployed across Southern Lebanon and will act against any threat to the State of Israel and its citizens.”

Meanwhile, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati announced on Jan. 10 that the Lebanese Army will initiate efforts to disarm Hezbollah, focusing on the southern Litani region. He emphasized that this marks a new phase of the army’s deployment and authority across Lebanon.
