Sacrifice for the glorious Jewish nation is rational

“Mideast News Hour” with Caroline Glick and guest professor Israel Aumann, Ep. 1

To mark Israel’s Memorial Day and 74th Independence Day, this week Caroline Glick sat down with Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics laureate professor Israel Aumann, a renowned mathematician and scholar of rationality and game theory, whose eldest son, Shlomo, was killed serving in the First Lebanon War in June 1982.

Glick and Aumann discussed faith and memory, the rationality of sacrifice and of Zionism. They moved from Jacob’s struggle with the angel to Jewish liturgy; from the violence on the Temple Mount to the progressive struggle against Jewish identity, to discuss and understand the bases of Israel’s existence and the conditions for its survival.

Join them for a riveting discussion.
