Authorities reported that the attacker repeatedly punched a 54-year-old man while making anti-Jewish statements and forcibly removed the victim’s yarmulke before fleeing.
“School-related antisemitic incidents remain double pre-2023 levels, and too many Jewish teachers who raised concerns felt that nothing was done,” said the country’s education secretary.
“If something like this did happen, in my view, it is very serious,” Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi said.

“Every New Yorker deserves to live in a safe city where they can practice their faith freely and without fear,” stated NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch.
The court ruling found that the university improperly relied on sealed arrest records and deemed disciplinary findings “arbitrary and capricious.”
“Any foreign student tweeting ‘death to America’ should be deported immediately,” Sen. Ted Cruz said.
Police have arrested a 38-year-old man who was spotted defacing the sculpture shortly after 4 a.m.
Other Islamist elements also pose a danger, the National Security Council said.
