Rashida Tlaib

“Israel has decided—we won’t enable the members of Congress to enter the country,” said Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely. “We won’t allow those who deny our right to exist in this world to enter Israel. In principle, this is a very justified decision.”
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) will most likely visit Muslim holy sites on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
The congresswoman argued that Palestinians are not responsible for terrorism, even as she called Israel a white-supremacist nation.

Shurat HaDin NGO asks court to block Rep. Omar from entering Israel
A 2017 Israeli law allows the state to block foreigners that promote BDS from entering the country. However, Israel has already said it will allow Omar to enter the country out of respect for the U.S. Congress.
CNN host Jake Tapper asked the congresswoman about “criticism of you from fellow Democrats, especially for your support for the BDS movement … an anti-Israel movement.”
U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) can enter the country, despite their pro-BDS views, “out of respect for the U.S. Congress, and the great alliance between Israel and America, we would not deny entry to any member of Congress into Israel.”
“There is continued dehumanization and racist policies by the State of Israel that violate international human rights, but also violate my core values of who I am as an American,” said the Michigan congresswoman.
The resolution, which currently has 336 co-sponsors, would allow state and local governments the right to punish state or local contractors from engaging in boycotts of Israel.
“What you are seeing today out of some of my colleagues on the Democratic side in the House is a kind of vitriol of anti-Semitism,” U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) .
“Congresswoman [Rashida] Tlaib’s ignorance is exceeded only by her gall. Had she read no further than Wikipedia, she would know that the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Amin al-Husseini, helped the Nazis recruit Bosnian Muslims for the Waffen-SS,” said American Jewish scholar Jonathan Sarna.
“There’s always kind of a calming feeling I tell folks when I think of the Holocaust and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors—Palestinians—who lost their land and some lost their lives ...,” said Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) said via podcast.
“There’s no doubt that Tlaib and Omar have close-knit ties with Hamas affiliated CAIR, and we, as concerned citizens, call on [the] Attorney General and U.S. Special Envoy for Anti-Semitism to investigate these ties,” states the petition, which to date has 33,337 signatures.
