When David Friedman took office as U.S. ambassador to Israel, he found that American foreign policy was based on some false assumptions, he said in a video interview with the Tikvah Fund ahead of its Israeli Conservatism Conference.

The conference will take place in Jerusalem on Thursday. JNS readers can receive discounted tickets. Use code: JNS:CON.

In the interview, Friedman explains how the Trump administration atoned for Arab oil dependence and even made the country energy independent. Next, he stresses that Israel is a first-world country and that the U.S. alliance with Israel is good for the American people. He also condemns the Biden administration for returning to what he calls the “erroneous assumptions” of the Obama administration.

Friedman also addresses why the media has become the No. 1 problem in the United States.
