Outside a Delaware courthouse, a political operative who worked to publicize Hunter Biden’s infamous abandoned laptop filled with reportedly salacious material received harsh words and accusations of Jew-hatred from his target’s wife.
On Tuesday, Melissa Batya Cohen-Biden, spouse of defendant Hunter Biden, the president’s son, called Garrett Ziegler, a former Trump administration aide, a “Nazi piece of s**t” and told him, “You have no right to be here” at her husband’s trial.
Cohen-Biden said that Ziegler has insulted her with “the most horrific [anti-]Jewish slurs.”
Ziegler denies Cohen-Biden’s claims. “I’ve never called her any slurs. It’s just made up,” he said. “For the record, I’m not a Nazi. I’m a believer in the U.S. Constitution. I haven’t said one thing to them.”
During the final days of the 2020 U.S. presidential campaign, Ziegler worked to promote what many Republicans would characterize as the “laptop from hell.” As a result, Hunter Biden sued Ziegler, arguing that the former Trump official and his company broke state and federal laws in creating a searchable online resource for reviewing 128,000 emails discovered on Biden’s laptop.
Hunter Biden is accused of three felony charges for alleged illegal firearm purchases and possession. He has pleaded not guilty.
