Christians United for Israel (CUFI) announced this week that former vice president and current presidential candidate Mike Pence will attend the group’s annual Washington Summit, speaking on Friday at 7 p.m.

Pastor John Hagee, CUFI’s founder and chairman, said “I’ve known Vice President Pence for years. He is a courageous and righteous leader, as well as a stalwart defender of Israel.”

Other politicians participating in the event include GOP presidential contender Nikki Haley; House Majority Whip Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minn.); Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.); and Rep. Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.).

Sandra Parker, CUFI’s Action Fund chair, said, “This year’s CUFI Washington Summit comes at a pivotal time for Israel and the U.S. The Russia-Iran-China axis is on the march, and the terrorists and war criminals backed by Tehran are growing ever stronger. It is incumbent upon all those who stand with Israel to speak out at this critical time in history.”
