In both English and French, the Jewish organization wrote to stores saying by “unfairly singling out Israel with their boycott,” the company has made their products “unpalatable to many Canadian consumers.”
“What we need are initiatives that bring young people together, not a preacher who promotes extreme hate and incites religious violence,” said Shimon Koffler Fogel, president and CEO of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs.
“It is outrageous that an individual who distributed materials associated with a listed terrorist entity has been reinstated by the TDSB [Toronto District School Board] without any discipline,” said Noah Shack, Vice President, Greater Toronto Area, the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA).

The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs CIJA, the advocacy arm of the Jewish federation system in Canada, has created a “Fight It!” campaign to combat rising anti-Semitism across the country.
The Canadian Jewish group Federation CJA and its advocacy agency, the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, applauded the decision.
The 51-page booklet discusses “Palestine” and “colonization” by Israel, includes suggested reading materials and promotes BDS.
“This anti-Semitism comes from the far-right, from the far-left, from our working-class districts, from the Arab-Muslim world under the guise of hatred for Israel and for Jews. We must eradicate anti-Semitism from our society,” said France’s former Prime Minister Manuel Valls.
