Following allegations that some of its students made antisemitic remarks after a soccer game at a Jewish school just days before, a Florida Catholic school forfeited its spot last week in the state’s championship tournament.

The official scorecard for the Feb. 18 “Final Four” game shows that Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School forfeited its playoff spot after a video surfaced online showing students fighting after a playoff game at Scheck Hillel Community School. At least one Jewish student was injured in the melee.

In a joint statement, the Archdiocese of Miami and the Scheck Hillel school said they are investigating the incident. A statement on the Catholic school’s website, dated Feb. 17, indicated that there have been threats against the school.

“These are being taken seriously, and the police are aware and conducting their investigation,” stated Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School. “Next week, you will see a police presence, and we will be monitoring all access to our campus.”

Scheck Hillel has not referenced the alleged incident on its website or on social media.
