“We are more determined than ever to complete the mission and destroy” the Gaza-based terror group, Israel’s finance minister wrote.
“This follows Hamas’s repeated refusal to release our hostages, as well as its rejection of all of the proposals it has received,” the Israeli prime minister’s office stated • IDF Home Front Command orders schools near the border closed until further notice.
“Hamas cannot and will not be allowed to rule Gaza into the future,” the U.S. national security advisor told Fox News.
“In the end, Gaza’s governmental capabilities need to be destroyed,” said the Israeli finance minister.
The terrorists were attempting to plant explosive devices in the ground, according to the Israeli military.
The campaign was launched by the family of Yarden Bibas and seeks to help his rehabilitation and dream to memorialize his wife Shiri and children Ariel and Kfir, all of whom were murdered in captivity in the Gaza Strip.
“What happened with the Houthis yesterday ... ought to inform as to where we stand with regard to terrorism,” said U.S. Mideast envoy Steve Witkoff.
“We never contemplated the possibility that 5% of what happened [on Oct. 7] could happen,” Lt. Gen. (res.) Herzi Halevi said.
The strike killed several Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad members, including men involved in attacks on Israeli forces.
The Witkoff plan also calls for the release of half of the deceased captives held by Palestinian terrorists in Gaza.
“Trump has made it clear that Hamas will either release hostages immediately, or pay a severe price,” the U.S. Middle East envoy warned.
