“The Security Council must stand with Israel and condemn these attacks,” said Danny Danon, Israel’s U.N. ambassador.
“For the 5th time in a week, millions of Israelis were sent to shelter as Houthi terrorists in Yemen launched a missile attack,” the IDF said.
“We will not accept the fact that the Houthis continue to shoot at the State of Israel,” Israel Katz said.
“The Houthis pose a threat not only to Israel but to the region and the entire world,” Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said in a statement.
The missile was intercepted outside of Israeli territory, according to the IDF.
Multiple missiles fired by the Iranian proxy in Yemen have hit Israel’s densely populated central region in recent days.
“We need to act against the head of the snake, which is the Iranian regime itself,” Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich told JNS.
Jerusalem should “go for the head, Iran,” said David Barnea.
“Just as we have acted forcefully against the terror arms of Iran’s axis of evil, so too will we act against the Houthis,” the prime minister vowed.
The Islamic Republic’s leader disputed the characterization following its surrogates’ military debacles and amid a crippling economic slump.
The failure was unrelated to the partial interception of another Houthi missile just days prior • Houthi leaders have reportedly fled Sanaa in fear of being targeted by Israel and the U.S.
One of the pilots sustained minor injuries during the incident over the Red Sea.
