The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the missile hit following “unsuccessful interception attempts.”
“As for any potential future operations, I’d refer you to Israel,” a U.S. Defense Department spokesman told reporters.
With the collapse of Assad’s Syrian regime and Hezbollah’s setbacks in Lebanon, Israeli attention turns to the leadership of the Yemeni terrorist army.
The Israeli Air Force hit three Houthi ports and two military targets, just as a Houthi missile was flying toward Israel.
Washington “will continue to hold accountable those who seek to enable the Houthis’ destabilizing activities,” said Bradley Smith, of the U.S. Treasury.
The incident likely involved a suicide drone launched by Yemen’s Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists.
“After Hamas, Hezbollah and the Assad regime in Syria, the Houthis are almost the last remaining arm of Iran’s evil axis,” the premier stated.
There were no injuries or damage from the impact and the pieces were removed by police sappers.
“You claimed victory over the U.S. and Israel just a year ago, and now you position yourselves as victims,” activist Abdul Rahman al-Otaibi said.
The impact caused a partial collapse of the school’s central building, prompting the cancellation of classes for the day. No injuries were reported.
The strikes were carried out by 14 fighter jets in two waves, and targeted sites in Yemen’s capital and coastal area.
The strike comes after the Iranian terror proxy launched a ballistic missile at Israel.
