Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro says he has “struggled to make sense” of the Molotov cocktail and sledgehammer attack on his residence.
Josh Shapiro, a Jewish Democrat, also accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of “reckless language.”

The Jewish governor of Pennsylvania said some of the destroyed Passover items would be kept as evidence of the arson.
“Our federal authorities must bring the full weight of our civil-rights laws to bear in examining this matter,” the Senate minority leader stated.
“When the governor becomes a target, Jewish people can imagine themselves being a target,” Steve Irwin, a regional board chair at the Anti-Defamation League, told JNS.
Josh Shapiro and his family were asleep in the residence at the time of the attack and were evacuated safely. The suspect, who turned himself in, was denied bail.
“We have a responsibility as a community to be unified against antisemitism, hatred, bigotry in all forms,” said Josh Shapiro.
“He’s someone who has routinely peddled antisemitic tropes like this,” Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro told a Philadelphia television station.
The Republican nominee for the White House also claimed that Kamala Harris snubbed Josh Shapiro because he is Jewish.
“It’s time for the community to recognize the power in the Democratic Party rests with its anti-Israel progressive base,” Ari Fleischer, who served as White House press secretary under President George W. Bush, told JNS.
