Eric Adams, the mayor of New York City, stated that he will travel to Israel on Friday for a four-day visit, during which he will meet with government officials, economic development leaders and technology workers.
The mayor also plans to “visit religious sites and discuss efforts to combat antisemitism here in New York City and across the world,” his office said.
Adams dropped out of the mayoral race in the city after running as an independent. Zohran Mamdani, a self-described socialist who has said that he would have Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrested if the premier comes to the Big Apple, is the city’s mayor-elect.
