Mission to Poland available for students attending Israeli universities

This year, the mission from Jeff Seidel’s Student Centers is expanding to include North American students studying in Barcelona, Madrid, Rome and Florence.

Jeff Seidel’s Student Centers for the North American students attending Israeli universities—Hebrew University, Tel Aviv University, Ben-Gurion University and Reichman/IDC University—are once again conducting a spring semester mission to Poland. His four Student Centers have conducted a mission to Poland for over 15 years. The trip is condensed from six to four days to allow the university students to attend while they are studying at the Israeli universities. Their tour guide is one of the leading guides from Yad Vashem.

This year the mission is expanding to include North American students studying in Barcelona, Madrid, Rome and Florence. Last year during the spring semester, several University of Wisconsin students who were studying abroad in Rome attended a Shabbat in Jerusalem. The student centers kept in touch with these students. When Pesach came, we arranged Seders for these students and give additional North American students in Rome. We approached them about joining the Poland mission for students studying at Hebrew University and Tel Aviv University. They were interested; however, they needed more notice in their academic calendar.

With that inspiration, we spent more time in Tel Aviv during summer 2022 with the many North American interns. Many of these interns and their friends are also spending their spring semester studying abroad in Italy and Spain. Many interns also expressed an interest in joining our Jeff Seidel Poland Mission. Since then, we have have been in contact with many of these students and their university rabbis.

The mission is currently scheduled for March 15-19 and spot are filling up quickly. The application can be found at: https://jeffseidel.com/poland-trip-europe/
