Dianne Lob

CEO William Daroff: “The bottom line is that the relationship between America and Israel is strong. The relationship between American Jewry and Israeli Jewry is strong. We just need to ensure that together we work to find consensus to find areas of agreement and move forward.”

Conference of Presidents to vote on second one-year term for chair Dianne Lob
If approved, her tenure will be followed by chair-elect Harriet Schleifer, outgoing president of the American Jewish Committee.
“We would never have imagined that these things would be said … in classrooms, never mind by radical-left campus groups, but preached by professors in class, in high schools in Manhattan, on the best college campuses … in polite company, and really, really propagated in a way in the halls of Congress as well,” said Elan Carr, former Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism.
HIAS wants ZOA and CAMERA disciplined for criticizing them. ZOA fires back saying HIAS has no place in a Conference that is reserved for groups with a Jewish mission.
A letter penned by more than 200 Jewish “student leaders” states that ZOA national president Mort Klein should be reprimanded for “a pattern of racist and Islamophobic behavior.”
A webinar hosted by ZOA president Mort Klein presented objections to Lob and alleged that, in reprisal, a number of member organizations have called for ZOA’s ouster from the big-tent group.
Lob, who formerly served as chair of HIAS, garnered a little more than half of the support of member organizations. Past chair votes had been approved unanimously.

Amid uproar, Stark to remain Conference of Presidents chair for another year
Dianne Lob will serve as chair-election, a newly created position.
A roll-call vote of member organizations to approve the nomination is scheduled to take place via Zoom on April 28.
