The Democratic Majority for Israel announced its fourth slate of seven candidate endorsements for the 2022 midterm election cycle on Wednesday, bringing the total number of endorsed candidates to 55.

Four of the candidates are incumbents and two are running for open seats, with one taking on an incumbent, selected for their qualifications and for being pro-Israel.

“Each of these distinguished leaders has demonstrated their willingness to fight for the Biden-Harris agenda, including a strong U.S.-Israel relationship,” DMFI PAC president Mark Mellman said in a news release.

The four incumbent Democrats hail from California and include Reps. Pete Aguilar, who is seeking re-election to represent California’s 33rd Congressional District; Mike Levin, running for re-election in California’s 49th Congressional District; Ted Lieu, running for re-election in California’s 36th Congressional District; and Adam Schiff, who is running for re-election in California’s 30th Congressional District.

Candidates running for open seats include Cora Neumann who is running in a primary to run for Montana’s 1st Congressional District and Michigan State Sen. Mike Hollier who is running in a primary to represent Michigan’s 13th Congressional District.

Former California Assemblywoman Christy Smith was endorsed in her nonpartisan primary to run in the general election to represent California’s 27th Congressional District. She is likely to take on incumbent Rep. Mike Garcia (R-Calif.) for the seat, who DMFI called an insurrection supporter.
