The CEO of the Israeli American Council told JNS about being on the front lines of the fight to protect Jews on American campuses, in Congress and elsewhere.
The new bill will “reinforce the state’s commitment to combating antisemitism in all its forms,” the Combat Antisemitism Movement stated.
“No form of hate can be fought by the subject of the hate alone,” Michal Cotler-Wunsh, Israel’s envoy for combating antisemitism, tells JNS.
“This puts us in line with over 30 states, 1,200 cities, three different U.S. administrations,” said Deputy Mayor David Rosenbaum.
Israel’s special envoy praised the inclusion of the IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism in the document.
The job requires annual reports of disciplinary data to the Board of Trustees.

The state made clear that “every form of antisemitism is unacceptable,” said Joe Sabag, executive director of IAC for Action.
Both pieces of legislation are slated to go into effect in Florida on July 1.
The Granite State is “setting an example for other states around the country,” said Shawn Evenhaim, board chair of IAC For Action.
