The clashes come amid increased tensions between Israel and Palestinian terrorist factions. Five days of fighting with Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip officially ended on Saturday night with an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire, although terrorists violated the truce several times with rocket launches to which Israel responded by targeting terrorist sites in the Strip.
This Thursday’s Jerusalem Day flag march through the capital’s Old City will pose a significant test for the recently brokered ceasefire agreement.
