Lapid calls King Abdullah, PA leader Abbas ahead of Biden’s visit to Israel
The Israeli prime minister discussed the need to “strengthen and deepen” cooperation with Amman, and for Abbas to help ensure “quiet and calm” during the U.S. president’s visit this week.
“The region is characterized by acute tensions between Iran and its proxies on one hand, and major regional actors on the other. There are numerous conflicts in the region along sectarian and tribal, ethnic, national lines,” said a senior Israel official.
Since 2012, it has been awarded to 26 individuals who have made lasting contributions to the State of Israel.
